History & Skills

To incorporate the name ‘British’, a company has to prove it is pre-eminent in its field which British Silverware is well positioned to do. The credentials of British Silverware Limited are the marriages of the most distinguished names, quality and finesse in British silverware manufacturing, brought together by engineering and bullion company Thessco. These historic names include James Dixon & Sons, Elkington & Co, Cooper Cobb, Roberts & Belk and CJ Vander and their consolidation ensured that historical tooling was preserved and skilled craftsmen remained employed in the British silverware industry, together with the tools, dies and design work.

Unlike many other companies in our market, we benefit from having all the required skills to make the most exquisite silverware under one roof. This reassures our clients that we are truly the centre of excellence in silverware.

A Message From The Managing Director, Jacqueline Tear

British Silverware is proud to uphold the traditional skills of its forefathers by continuing to hand-make silverware of which the craftsmen of the past would be proud. The manufacturing traditions and the knowledge of the past masters are shared with the silverware innovators of the 21st century and many centuries to come.

Unlike many other companies in our market, we benefit from having all the required skills to make the most exquisite silverware under one roof. This reassures our clients that truly we are a centre of excellence in silverware.

It is an honour to represent my team and their ability, of which I am immensely proud and together we are able to create a unique offer in the silverware world market.
